Trailer
Category B+E Towing Courses
If
you passed your car driving test after January 1997, you may now
need to pass a separate test (licence category B + E) to tow a
trailer or caravan weighing over 750kg M.A.M. (Maximum Authorised
Mass).
Most
horse/cattle trailers and caravans weigh more than this. Even
if your own combination is within Category B, we would advise
anyone towing them to consider some instruction.
Whatever
your previous knowledge. It is a good idea to have an assessment/lesson
or taster course.
